About Us

I retired in 2022 ...

... and was very happily spending my days gardening and enjoying my time not spent in front of a computer. I was NOT looking for another job! We visited a close friend in December of 2023 and she introduced me to functional mushrooms and CBD products that have changed the way I manage my health. I didn't have major issues -- just osteoporosis, garden variety osteoarthritis, and trouble falling and staying asleep.

My sweet, 15-year-old dog, Maizey, who we adopted in Jan 2022, had recovered from shattered hips as a puppy and like most of us older beings, she has arthritis and some anxiety issues.

My goal is to keep us healthy and active for as long as possible. I feel that these functional mushrooms and hemp-derived CBD products are key to helping us achieve this goal. If you'd like recommendations on what products might be best for you and your pets and loved ones, contact me. I love sharing what I'm learning about the products offered here and the success we're experiencing.

UPDATE

Sweet Maizey crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in November, 2024 and left a HUGE hole in our home and hearts. It was in January of 2025 that we rescued Juno, a 3-5 year old Huskie/Shepherd mix who was picked up as a stray in central California. She is a challenge, to say the least. I never wanted either Huskie or German Shepherd because I know how "intense" they can be, but when I saw her picture, she reminded me of Maizey. We met her in a fenced area, where she took a sniffing swing around the perimeter, then came and calmly sat in front of me as if to say, "Ok mom, let's go home." And we did.

Over the past 6 months, Juno has revealed herself to be a goofy girl who likes to show her belly for rubs and to chase water from a hose. She still has some bad habits, or maybe they're "traits" of her breeds. She can be aggressive toward other dogs who misbehave (the shelter said she wants to be the hall monitor), but the most difficult one is terrorizing cats. Lily has been living in the guest bedroom, but we're working on that. Juno is really smart, food-motivated, and quick to learn. We've made great progress, but it's an evolving picture but Juno is definitely a keeper. Stay tuned!
